The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Unit is seeking witnesses to a serious collision that occurred this morning at the intersection of Laurier Avenue East and Cumberland Street.
At approximately 6:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was transported to the hospital by Ottawa paramedics and is currently in life-threatening condition.
Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward. If you have not yet spoken to the police, your information could be crucial to the investigation.
